The two maps illustrate how an area of the village of Shalton changed in terms of land use between 1910 and 2010.
Overall, Shalton changed from a small community with few buildings into a much more developed and residential village. The most notable changes were the construction of new housing in the central triangle and along London Road, and the introduction of new shops and services to the west of School Road, while the road network, the school and the post office remained unchanged.
In 1910, three main roads, namely School Road, London Road and High Street, formed a triangular block in the centre of the village. Inside this triangle, a large house stood in the middle, surrounded by four trees, while a grocer and a baker were located along its southern edge, next to High Street. To the west of School Road, a butcher and a school stood side by side, and a post office was situated to the north of the triangle, between School Road and London Road. A few houses stood along School Road and south of High Street.
By 2010, the village had been extensively redeveloped. To the west of School Road, the butcher had been replaced by a supermarket with a parking lot, and a bank had been built to the north of it, while the school remained unchanged. Inside the triangle, the large house, the baker and the trees had been replaced by several houses, which were linked to London Road by a small path, and the grocer had been converted into a café. To the north, the post office stayed in the same place, but a row of houses had been built along London Road. Similarly, south of High Street, the number of houses had doubled, while the single house on School Road no longer existed.

The maps illustrate how a village called Shalton developed in terms of land use and transport connectivity from 1910 to 2010.
Overall, several significant changes took place in Shalton, as portrayed in the maps Shalton became a much more developed and residential village. The most important of these is were the expansion of residential areas and the construction of many several facilities in the extreme northwest west of the village, while the road network, the school and the post office remained unchanged.
In 1910, There were three main arterial roads, namely London Road, School Road and High Street, formed forming a triangular block in the central village centre of the village. By 2010, to the northwest of such this block, the butcher was had been replaced by a supermarket and a parking space. A bank was had been erected, while the school remained unchanged, located along School Road. Meanwhile, in the triangular zone, the large house and , the baker and four trees were turned into housing buildings had been replaced by several houses. These buildings houses were connected to London Road by a small path for easy access. Additionally, the grocery store was redesigned as grocer had been converted into a café.

"The most important of these is" sai thì → "were".
- Từ vựng: "arterial road" chỉ dùng cho đường trục chính nối nhiều khu vực, ở đây dùng "main roads"; "such block" → "this block"; "housing buildings" không tự nhiên → "houses"; "redesigned as" → "converted into"; "transport connectivity" không đúng vì bản đồ gần như không thay đổi về giao thông.
- Câu "There were three main roads…, forming…" chưa cho biết năm; nên mở bằng "In 1910, three main roads … formed…".
