Phân tích đề & dàn ý
Phân tích đề
- Dạng bài: Task 2 – Agree or Disagree (To what extent do you agree or disagree?). Chỉ có MỘT nhận định cần đánh giá, nên không dùng khung "both perspectives / both views".
- Tách ý chính của đề: Museums and art galleries → should focus on → works from their own country (rather than artworks from other countries).
- museums and art galleries → cultural institutions / museums and galleries
- focus on → give priority to / concentrate on
- works from their own country → national / local artworks
- artworks from other countries → foreign / international art
- Câu 2: nêu quan điểm không đồng ý + tóm tắt 2 lý do.

Some people believe that museums and art galleries should give priority to works from their own country rather than to artworks from abroad. I completely disagree with this view because displaying foreign art can broaden visitors' understanding of the world and attract a wider range of visitors.
I disagree that museums should focus mainly on national works because international art can help visitors develop a deeper understanding of other cultures. Since paintings and sculptures reflect the values, beliefs and daily life of the people who created them, viewing foreign works allows visitors to learn about other societies without travelling abroad. For example, a student who visits an exhibition of Japanese woodblock prints may gain an insight into Japanese traditions that a textbook cannot provide. By contrast, a museum that displays only local art may limit visitors' knowledge to their own culture. In short, foreign collections can foster cultural understanding and respect.
Furthermore, exhibiting artworks from other countries can enhance the appeal of museums to a wider audience. This is because famous international works often attract both local residents and foreign tourists, which can increase ticket sales and support the museum financially. For instance, a touring exhibition of European masterpieces may draw large crowds who would not normally visit a museum. Whereas a collection of only national works may mainly interest people who are already familiar with local art, a varied collection can encourage more people to visit regularly. Such income can then be used to preserve and promote national artworks as well.
In conclusion, I strongly disagree that museums and galleries should concentrate on works from their own country. My reason is that foreign art can broaden people's understanding of other cultures and help museums attract more visitors.
