Phân tích đề

  • Dạng bài: Task 2 – Agree or Disagree (To what extent do you agree or disagree?). Cần nêu rõ quan điểm và giữ nhất quán từ mở bài đến kết bài.
  • Tách ý chính của đề: Doctors → should be responsible for → educating patients about how to improve their health.
  • Chú ý phạm vi và mức độ:
  • Đối tượng là bác sĩ và BỆNH NHÂN của họ, không phải toàn xã hội.
  • "Educating … about how to improve their health" là hướng dẫn cách sống khỏe (ăn uống, vận động, thói quen), không phải chữa bệnh.
  • "Should be responsible for" là trách nhiệm, không có nghĩa bác sĩ là người duy nhất làm việc này.
  • Từ khoá:

  • Quan điểm chọn: Đồng ý hoàn toàn, với 2 lý do: (1) bác sĩ có chuyên môn nên lời khuyên đáng tin và hiệu quả hơn, (2) phòng bệnh qua tư vấn giúp giảm gánh nặng cho hệ thống y tế.

Dàn ý

Mở bài

  • Câu 1: paraphrase đề.
  • Câu 2: nêu quan điểm đồng ý + tóm tắt 2 lý do.

Thân bài 1 – Lời khuyên của bác sĩ hiệu quả hơn

  • Lý do: bác sĩ nắm tiền sử bệnh và kết quả xét nghiệm → lời khuyên phù hợp từng người → bệnh nhân tin và làm theo.
  • Ví dụ: bệnh nhân huyết áp cao sẵn sàng giảm muối hơn khi được bác sĩ giải thích tác hại cụ thể.
  • So sánh: lời khuyên chung chung trên mạng, quảng cáo thường thiếu tin cậy và không hợp với từng người.
  • Kết đoạn: lời khuyên của bác sĩ hiệu quả hơn các nguồn khác.

Thân bài 2 – Giảm áp lực cho hệ thống y tế

  • Lý do: bệnh nhân có chế độ ăn cân bằng, tập luyện đều ít mắc bệnh mãn tính → không cần điều trị lâu dài, tốn kém.
  • Ví dụ: nhân viên văn phòng trung niên được khuyên đi bộ mỗi ngày khi khám định kỳ có thể tránh được bệnh tim sau này.
  • So sánh: điều trị bệnh nặng cần thuốc và phẫu thuật đắt đỏ, còn vài phút tư vấn chi phí rất thấp.
  • Kết đoạn: chăm sóc phòng ngừa là cách dùng thời gian của bác sĩ hợp lý.

Kết bài

  • Khẳng định lại quan điểm bằng từ khác + tóm tắt 2 lý do.

Mẹo: hai lý do nên trả lời hai câu hỏi "Why?" khác nhau. Lý do 1 nói về hiệu quả đối với bệnh nhân, lý do 2 nói về lợi ích cho xã hội, để hai luận điểm không chồng lên nhau.

Some people believe that doctors ought to take responsibility for teaching their patients how to lead healthier lives. I completely agree with this view because doctors' expert knowledge makes their advice more effective, and such guidance can reduce the burden on the healthcare system.

I agree that doctors should educate their patients about improving their health because their medical expertise can enable patients to make better lifestyle choices. Since doctors understand each patient's medical history and test results, they can give advice that suits that individual, which patients are more likely to trust and follow. For example, a patient with high blood pressure may be more willing to cut down on salt if a doctor explains exactly how it affects his heart. By contrast, general advice from the internet or advertisements is often unreliable and may not fit a person's condition. In short, guidance from doctors can be far more effective than information from other sources.

Furthermore, health education from doctors can reduce the pressure on hospitals in the long term. This is because patients who adopt a balanced diet and take regular exercise are less likely to develop chronic diseases such as diabetes, which require years of expensive treatment. For instance, a middle-aged office worker who is advised during a routine check-up to walk every day may avoid serious heart problems later in life. Whereas treating advanced illnesses requires costly medication and surgery, a few minutes of advice during an appointment costs very little. Such preventive care is therefore a sensible use of doctors' time.

In conclusion, I fully support the idea that doctors should teach patients how to stay healthy. My reason is that their professional advice is more reliable and persuasive, and it can ease the burden on the healthcare system.
