Phân tích đề & dàn ý

Phân tích đề

  • Dạng bài: Task 2 – Positive or Negative development (thuộc nhóm Advantages – Disadvantages). Phải kết luận rõ đây là xu hướng tích cực hay tiêu cực, tức mặt nào lớn hơn.
  • Tách ý chính của đề: Advertising → is becoming more and more common → in everyday life.
  • advertising → advertisements / adverts / commercials
  • is becoming more and more common → appears almost everywhere / the spread of advertising
  • in everyday life → in daily life
  • a positive or negative development → a beneficial or harmful trend
  • Quan điểm chọn: tiêu cực (tác hại lớn hơn lợi ích).
  • Lợi ích (nhượng bộ): cung cấp thông tin sản phẩm, khuyến mãi; doanh thu quảng cáo giúp nhiều nội dung được miễn phí.
  • Tác hại (khẳng định): (1) khuyến khích chi tiêu quá mức, (2) ảnh hưởng sức khỏe, đặc biệt là trẻ em. Hai tác hại phải khác nhau rõ ràng.

Dàn ý

Mở bài

  • Câu 1: paraphrase đề + "there has been much debate about whether this is a positive or negative development".
  • Câu 2: In my opinion, the drawbacks of this trend clearly outweigh its benefits, which makes it a negative development.

Thân bài 1 – Lợi ích (nhượng bộ)

  • Câu chủ đề: It is understandable why some people regard … as positive.
  • One clear benefit is that… (thông tin sản phẩm, so sánh giá).
  • Another upside is that… (doanh thu quảng cáo giúp nội dung miễn phí).

Thân bài 2 – Tác hại (khẳng định)

  • Câu chủ đề: However, I believe there are stronger drawbacks to…
  • One major disadvantage is that… (chi tiêu quá mức ← đánh vào cảm xúc → nợ nần; ví dụ người trẻ đổi điện thoại mỗi năm).
  • Additionally, … (sức khỏe trẻ em ← quảng cáo đồ ăn nhanh, nước ngọt → thói quen ăn uống kém, béo phì).

Kết bài

  • In conclusion, I believe that … is a harmful trend, since its drawbacks exceed its benefits. + Unless …, these problems are likely to become more serious.

Advertisements now appear almost everywhere in daily life, from television and websites to buses and city streets, and there has been much debate about whether this is a positive or negative development. In my opinion, the drawbacks of this trend clearly outweigh its benefits, which makes it a negative development.

It is understandable why some people regard the spread of advertising as positive. One clear benefit is that adverts inform consumers about new products and special offers, which can help them compare prices and make better choices. Another upside is that advertising revenue allows many websites, apps and television channels to offer their content free of charge.

However, I believe there are stronger drawbacks to the growing presence of advertising. One major disadvantage is that it can encourage people to spend more than they can afford. Since adverts often use attractive images and persuasive messages that appeal to emotions, viewers may buy products they do not really need, which can lead to debt. For example, a young worker who repeatedly sees online adverts for the latest smartphone may replace a perfectly good phone every year. Additionally, advertising can harm people's health, especially that of children. This is because many adverts promote unhealthy products such as fast food and sugary drinks, and children are easily influenced by colourful characters and catchy songs. Such adverts may therefore contribute to poor eating habits and rising rates of childhood obesity.

In conclusion, I believe that the spread of advertising is a harmful trend, since its drawbacks exceed its benefits. Unless stricter rules are introduced, especially on adverts aimed at children, these problems are likely to become more serious.

It is indisputable that advertisements have permeated every corner of daily life, and their impacts have garnered widespread attention in recent years. Despite some benefits of advertising, I strongly believe that this trend it has more negative implications overall.

A compelling argument can be made that people can benefit from advertisements because they provide consumers with adequate useful product information. For example, the audience can have a broader view of learn about product features, such as nutrients ingredients, style and size, through TV commercials, thereby leading to which can lead to better-informed decisions. Nonetheless, this line of reasoning is flawed because these adverts will interrupt viewers' viewing experience if their main aim is to enjoy films and other forms of entertainment, thereby leading to a sense of dissatisfaction the information in adverts is often one-sided, as companies tend to exaggerate the benefits of their products and hide their weaknesses. Therefore, advertising products relying on adverts for information can even be counterproductive.

In spite of some undeniable merits, I firmly contend that the proliferation of advertisements brings about more drawbacks. Firstly, it undoubtedly can reduces people's one's savings. Animated videos and convincing messages in ads appeal to customers' emotions, prompting them to purchase even unneeded products. This would may take away money from their budget for more urgent needs, namely such as healthcare and education, later in life. Worse still, a sense of the satisfaction that is derived from buying newly purchased products of buying new products tends to wear off quickly as soon as the items are once they go out of fashion. To compensate for this, it is then necessary to keep on buying impulsively regain this feeling, many people keep buying impulsively. Therefore, advertising could lead to a vicious circle where in which consumers constantly spend money on non-essential products rather than products of actual value things they really need.

In conclusion, despite some merits, I fervently believe that the drawbacks of advertising outweigh its benefits because it leads to overspending , impulse buying and a poorer viewing experience and impulse buying.

Nên chọn tác hại thứ hai ở lĩnh vực khác (ví dụ sức khỏe trẻ em do quảng cáo đồ ăn nhanh). Kết bài cũng nhắc lại "a poorer viewing experience", vốn chỉ xuất hiện trong phần phản biện chứ không phải luận điểm chính.
  • Mức độ khẳng định: "undoubtedly reduces one's savings", "would take away" quá tuyệt đối; dùng "can / may".
  • Lặp cấu trúc: "thereby leading to" xuất hiện 2 lần trong cùng một đoạn.
  • Dùng từ: "namely" chỉ dùng khi liệt kê đầy đủ, ở đây chỉ là ví dụ nên dùng "such as"; "nutrients" không hợp với "style and size" → "ingredients"; "it is then necessary to keep on buying" sai nghĩa (không ai BẮT BUỘC phải mua) → "many people keep buying"; "a sense of satisfaction that is derived from buying newly purchased products" thừa từ.
