  • Tách ý chính của đề: Information can be accessed easily on the Internet → so → libraries are no longer necessary.

  • Kết đoạn: Not only can…, but they can also…

Kết bài

It is indisputable that, as information can now be accessed easily online, the role of libraries has been widely questioned in recent years. Despite some arguments in favour of replacing libraries with the Internet, I strongly believe that they remain essential because they preserve valuable documents and provide a quiet learning environment for everyone.

A compelling argument can be made that the rise of online materials may make libraries unnecessary in the coming years. Digital books and articles are available on many websites, which not only provide a wealth of knowledge but also allow readers to access it without leaving their homes. As a result, physical libraries may seem less important. Nonetheless, this line of reasoning is flawed because it overlooks a fundamental role of libraries: the storage of historically and culturally important documents, such as old manuscripts and original books, many of which have never been made available online. Therefore, the role of libraries should not be underestimated.

In spite of some undeniable merits of online resources, I firmly contend that libraries are still necessary for two main reasons. Firstly, they create a focused learning environment. Unlike cafés and other public spaces, libraries are places where people expect silence, which allows learners to concentrate on their studies. For example, students who share small, noisy homes may find it much easier to revise for exams in a library. More importantly, libraries provide free access to knowledge for those who lack digital skills or devices. This is because many older people find it challenging to use computers and smartphones, while printed books require no technical skills. Thus, not only can libraries support effective study, but they can also ensure that no one is excluded from reading and learning.

In conclusion, while reading online can be an appealing option, I fervently believe that libraries cannot be replaced because they preserve important documents, provide a quiet place to study and serve people who cannot easily use the Internet.
