Phân tích đề & dàn ý
Phân tích đề
- Dạng bài: Task 2 – Agree or Disagree (To what extent do you agree or disagree?). Chỉ có MỘT nhận định, nên không dùng khung "both perspectives / both views".
- Tách ý chính của đề: Politicians → are MORE responsible than individuals → for protecting the environment.
- politicians → political leaders / governments
- be more responsible for → bear greater responsibility for
- the protection of the environment → environmental protection / protecting the environment
- individuals → ordinary citizens / members of the public
- Câu 1: paraphrase đề, giữ phép so sánh "more … than".
- Câu 2: nêu quan điểm đồng ý + tóm tắt 2 lý do.
Mẹo: khi đề có phép so sánh ("more … than"), quan điểm phải trả lời đúng phép so sánh đó.

Some people believe that politicians bear greater responsibility for protecting the environment than ordinary individuals do. I completely agree with this view because politicians have the power to change the behaviour of entire societies and to provide the resources that make green choices possible.
I agree that politicians are more responsible for environmental protection because their decisions can affect millions of people at once. Since laws apply to every citizen and business, a single regulation can reduce pollution far more than the voluntary efforts of individuals. For example, a ban on single-use plastic bags can cut plastic waste across a whole country within months. By contrast, an individual who carries a reusable bag can only make a small difference, especially if most people around him do not do the same. In short, political action can achieve results on a scale that individuals cannot.
Furthermore, politicians control the funding and infrastructure that people need in order to live in an environmentally friendly way. This is because individuals can only choose greener options if these options are available and affordable, which depends largely on government investment. For instance, a commuter is unlikely to stop driving if there is no reliable bus or train service in his area. Whereas individuals have limited money and influence, governments can build public transport networks and fund renewable energy projects. Such investment therefore enables ordinary people to play their part.
In conclusion, I fully support the idea that politicians are more responsible than individuals for protecting the environment. My reason is that their laws can change the behaviour of whole societies, and their investment makes environmentally friendly choices possible for everyone.

A contentious debate surrounds who should be held accountable for safeguarding the ecosystem Some people believe that politicians bear greater responsibility for protecting the environment than individuals do. Despite some arguments in favour of politicians this view, I strongly believe that environmental protection is a shared responsibility between the public and political leaders.
A compelling argument can be made that politicians , who are seen as reputable leaders in society, can give talks about the negative impacts of climate change and how to solve environmental issues in the media. This can raise people's awareness about the urgency for environmental protection. By doing this, these political figures promote ecological sustainability should take the lead because they have the power to pass environmental laws and decide how public money is spent. For example, a ban on single-use plastics can reduce waste across a whole country, which no individual could achieve alone. Nonetheless, this line of reasoning is flawed because speeches cannot directly solve environmental problems; it is individuals who engage in habits such as not littering and following the 3Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle) even the strictest laws only work if individuals are willing to follow them in their daily lives, such as sorting their rubbish or reducing waste. Therefore, the role of individuals cannot be underestimated in this context.
While politicians play an important role, I firmly contend that individuals should share the responsibility equally with politicians them for myriad two main reasons. Firstly, individuals they can alleviate environmental issues problems through their daily habits. For instance, they can switch from using fuel-burning vehicles petrol-powered cars to more eco-friendly means forms of transport such as electric cars or walking on a daily basis cycling or public transport. This would cut down on a large amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere, leading to decreased lower pollution levels. Additionally, because many projects require a great number of contributors, a few politicians cannot carry these out alone many environmental projects depend on the participation of local communities. For example, planting millions of trees to prevent erosion, which is beyond the capacity of politicians alone, requires collaboration among individuals in many communities a government tree-planting programme can only succeed if local residents help to plant and look after the trees.
In conclusion, both perspectives on who should bear the responsibility for tackling environmental issues have valid points. Nevertheless, although politicians have greater power to pass laws, I fervently believe that they are not more responsible than individuals, and that both politicians and the public should collaborate to improve the environment.
Nhận xét của thầy
- Điểm mạnh: quan điểm "trách nhiệm chung" rõ ràng và nhất quán; có nhượng bộ – phản biện; lý do 1 về thói quen hằng ngày có ví dụ cụ thể và kết quả rõ ràng (giảm CO2, giảm ô nhiễm).
- Trình bày yếu lập luận phía bên kia (lỗi nặng nhất): sức mạnh thật của chính trị gia là BAN HÀNH LUẬT và QUYẾT ĐỊNH NGÂN SÁCH, không phải phát biểu trên truyền thông. Khi trình bày phía bên kia quá yếu, phần phản biện ("speeches cannot directly solve…") trở thành phản biện một lập luận rơm, không thuyết phục. Hãy chọn lập luận mạnh nhất của đối phương rồi phản biện nó.
- Mở bài chưa paraphrase đề: đề là phép so sánh ("MORE responsible THAN individuals"). "who should be held accountable for safeguarding the ecosystem" chưa giữ được phép so sánh này.
- Dùng nhầm khung kết bài: "both perspectives… have valid points" chỉ dùng cho dạng Discuss both views. Kết bài To what extent phải trả lời thẳng câu hỏi: chính trị gia có chịu trách nhiệm NHIỀU HƠN hay không.
- Ví dụ thiếu nhất quán: "electric cars or walking" đặt hai lựa chọn rất khác nhau cạnh nhau; nên chọn ví dụ cùng nhóm (cycling or public transport).
- Dùng từ: "myriad reasons" nhưng chỉ có 2 lý do; "the urgency for" → "the urgency of"; "decreased pollution levels" → "lower pollution levels".
