Phân tích đề & dàn ý

Phân tích đề

  • Dạng bài: Task 2 – Discuss both views and give your opinion. Bắt buộc bàn cả hai quan điểm VÀ nêu rõ ý kiến cá nhân (ở mở bài, thân bài 2 và kết bài).
  • Tách hai quan điểm:
  • View 1: Importing films and TV programmes → is good for → a country's culture.
  • View 2: Having its own films and TV programmes → is better for → a country.
  • import films and TV programmes → show foreign films and TV shows / screen international productions
  • a country's culture → national culture / cultural identity
  • have their own films and TV programmes → produce domestic films and programmes / locally made productions

Dàn ý

Mở bài

  • Câu 1: paraphrase CẢ HAI quan điểm, nối bằng "while".
  • Câu 2: Despite some arguments in favour of [phía không chọn], I strongly believe that … + lý do.

  • Câu chủ đề: A compelling argument can be made that…
  • Lý do: phim nước ngoài giới thiệu lối sống, phong tục khác → khán giả cởi mở hơn.

  • Câu chủ đề: While …, I firmly contend that … for two main reasons.
  • Lý do 1: phim trong nước giữ gìn ngôn ngữ, truyền thống, lịch sử → thế hệ trẻ gắn bó với văn hóa dân tộc.
  • Lý do 2: phát triển ngành điện ảnh trong nước → có thể xuất khẩu văn hóa (ví dụ: phim truyền hình Hàn Quốc).
  • Kết đoạn: Not only can…, but they can also…

Kết bài

  • In conclusion, both perspectives on … have valid points. Nevertheless, I fervently believe that … because …

Mẹo: quan điểm ở mở bài phải khớp với nội dung thân bài 2. Nếu thân bài 2 chỉ ủng hộ một phía, đừng tuyên bố quan điểm "cân bằng"; và đừng lặp lại ý phản biện ở thân bài 1 thành luận điểm ở thân bài 2.

Some people argue that showing foreign films and television programmes benefits a country's culture, while others claim that it is better for a nation to produce its own. Despite some arguments in favour of importing such programmes, I strongly believe that domestic productions are more valuable because they preserve national identity and strengthen the local film industry.

A compelling argument can be made that imported films and programmes can broaden people's cultural horizons. This is because they introduce viewers to the lifestyles, customs and values of other societies, which may make audiences more open-minded. For example, a viewer who watches Japanese films may learn about Japanese festivals and food without ever visiting the country. Nonetheless, this line of reasoning is flawed because, with the rise of streaming platforms, people can already watch foreign content easily, so there is little need for local television channels and cinemas to rely on imported programmes, which may otherwise push domestic productions aside. Therefore, the cultural benefit of importing films seems limited.

While foreign productions can be enjoyable, I firmly contend that countries should focus on making their own films and programmes for two main reasons. Firstly, domestic productions help to preserve a nation's language, traditions and history. As a result, younger generations can stay connected to their cultural roots even in a globalised world. More importantly, investing in local productions can develop the domestic film industry and spread national culture abroad. In South Korea, for instance, locally made dramas have become popular worldwide and have attracted international interest in Korean food, fashion and language. Thus, not only can domestic films protect a nation's identity, but they can also promote it on a global stage.

In conclusion, both perspectives on foreign and domestic productions have valid points. Nevertheless, I fervently believe that countries benefit more from making their own films and programmes because these preserve cultural heritage and help to share it with the rest of the world.

A contentious debate surrounds the optimal approach to entertaining the audience Some people argue that importing films and TV programmes benefits a country's culture, while others believe it is better for a nation to produce its own. Despite some arguments in favorour of producing local movies and TV programmes, I strongly believe that a more balanced combination of both foreign and local forms of entertainment is more advantageous importing foreign productions brings greater cultural benefits.

A compelling argument can be made that making national films and programs on TV TV programmes can instil a sense of national pride. For example, the government film studios can make films with historical content, helping citizens sharpen deepen their understanding of the significance of local historical events and figures, thereby fostering which can foster a sense of patriotism. Nonetheless, this line of reasoning is flawed because only focusing on domestic types of media falls short of providing a broader view in this digitalised world. Imported films and TV shows can allow the audience to gain awareness of the globe, making them more knowledgeable national pride can also be built through education and family traditions, so it does not depend on limiting the films people watch.

I firmly contend that the role of foreign types of entertainment productions should not be underestimated for myriad key two main reasons. Firstly, imported films and programmes can serve as effective educational tools help people learn foreign languages, which opens the door to other cultures. To illustrate, young Vietnamese people are inclined towards Hollywood films, because these movies can help young learners practise their English listening and speaking skills, making language acquisition more straightforward many young Vietnamese people improve their English by watching Hollywood films, which also helps them understand Western culture more deeply. More importantly, these films and programmes foster cross-cultural understanding. For example, exposure to various lifestyles and celebrations in foreign movies enables people to have gain a profound deeper insight into other countries' cultures, leading to a genuine appreciation of global cultural richness diversity.

In conclusion, both perspectives on which films and other types of media should be prioritized imported and domestic productions have valid points. Nevertheless, I fervently believe that striking a balance between local and international forms of entertainment is more beneficial importing films and TV programmes is more beneficial for a country's culture because it can bring about educational benefits and enhance cultural knowledge globally open people's minds to other languages and ways of life.

Nhận xét của thầy

  • Điểm mạnh: dùng đúng khung Discuss both views (thân bài 1 nêu phía bên kia rồi phản biện, thân bài 2 khẳng định); có ví dụ cụ thể (phim lịch sử, phim Hollywood); vốn từ tốt (instil a sense of national pride, patriotism, cross-cultural understanding).
  • Mở bài chưa nêu hai quan điểm: dạng Discuss both views cần paraphrase cả hai phía ngay câu đầu. "the optimal approach to entertaining the audience" chuyển trọng tâm sang giải trí, trong khi đề nói về văn hóa.
  • Dùng từ: "the government can make films" không tự nhiên (phim do hãng phim sản xuất); "myriad key reasons" nhưng chỉ có 2 lý do; "global cultural richness" → "global cultural diversity".
  • Chính tả: bài dùng lẫn favor / programmes / programs / prioritized. Nên thống nhất Anh – Anh (favour, programmes, prioritised) hoặc Anh – Mỹ trong cả bài.
